Custom Motorcycles - LowTech

This bike was built on a chassis that we were manufacturing at the time and uses our signature front end. Low Tech is a bit more main stream than the other bikes. She fires up and is ready to go.

IN DETAIL

It was a fun shop project, right from the original concept good ol' modern sleek lines but captured a look from the old war era bikes. Part of the essentials was sort of an industrial monochromatic look to it. To achieve that sleek look we built in an angular look to everything - the way the oil tank slops down - the gas tank. Its really important to have a fluid look to the gas tank the way it sort of melted right over the engine.

We integrated a v-rod headlight and built a shell which gives it a low and sleek, angular look to it. Part of the retro look is achieved with an early style generator engine although it has, modern evolution internals in it. A hand-shift foot clutch system assembly, which is definitely from the era. Went through extensive work to really clean up the right side of the bike.

Right from the intake seats on out, welding from the cylinder heads, putting all new fins in thereto the fins all to move the induction system over to the side. A lot of small details on the bike to really clean it up and almost make it look non-functional. With all of the powder coating on the engine, it almost looks like its made of injection mold-able plastic, yet its a very functional, ridable bike. Its another reason why we also used an air lift system front and rear, to have that nice low slung look and make it a total ridable bike.

We started out on the front of the bike with an RC component wheel which we modified to cut the webbing out of it to suit our needs. Its actually a 5 spoke in the front and a 3 on the back to give it a more forward heavy front look to it which also gives it that front heavy in- motion look and feel is that very large and wide tire. Its actually a rear tire on the front. We had to build a matching front fender as its not a common size but the full coverage matched up with the minimal rear. Supports the stance that we're trying to achieve.

This is the style of bike that I like and that comes naturally to me. Sort of that long sleek aggressive look to it. If you can get a bike to look like its doing 100 miles per hour just sitting there, I've done my job. That's what I'm trying to achieve.
